Sundays at Saint Stephen’s

Our Sunday worship is centered around the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
We offer two services each Sunday morning:

8:00 am  Holy Eucharist / Rite I, Spoken
A quiet, contemplative service without music, drawing on traditional language from ages past.
10:30 am  Holy Eucharist / Rite II, with Music
A joyful service with hymns, choir, and contemporary language, suitable for all ages.

Each service follows the same basic pattern: hearing God's Word, responding in prayer, and gathering at the Altar for Holy Communion. Whether you’re new to the life of the church or returning after some time away, you’ll find a place alongside fellow pilgrims on the journey of faith.

Feasts & Fasts

The liturgical calendar shapes how we worship and practice our faith together, guiding us through seasons of anticipation, celebration, and renewal.

At Saint Stephen’s, we mark holy days like Christmas, Epiphany, Easter, Pentecost, and All Saints' with festal services and food-centered gatherings. We also observe more solemn occasions such as Lent and Advent, as well as fast days like Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.

Together, these moments create an annual cycle of commemoration that shapes us into Christlikeness as we keep sacred time together.

The Sacraments

In the Episcopal Church, we recognize two great sacraments given by Christ, Baptism and the Holy Eucharist, as well as five other sacramental rites.

Baptism

Full initiation into the Christian faith through water and the Spirit, open to all ages.

Holy Eucharist

A sacred meal of bread and wine in which Christ is truly present, shared by all baptized Christians.

Confirmation

A reaffirmation of baptismal vows and strengthening by the Holy Spirit, administered by a bishop.

Ordination

Endowing those who are so called with the grace and power to serve as bishops, priests, and deacons.

Marriage

A lifelong, spiritual union of two people, reflecting Christ’s love for the Church.

Reconciliation

A private rite of confession and forgiveness, offering healing and renewed relationship with God.

Unction

Prayer and anointing for healing or comfort, especially for the sick or dying.

Whether you're planning a baptism, marriage, or burial, we encourage you to speak with our clergy who are here to walk with you on your journey of baptism, wedding, or funeral.
