The Rev. Brandon S. McGinnis has served as the 19th rector of Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church since March of 2024. Brandon hails from the rain-soaked mountains of Western Oregon. In 2014, he earned a B.A. in Biblical Theology from Northwest Christian University (now Bushnell University). Five years later, in 2019, he received his M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary. Brandon was ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests in January of 2020. Brandon married his wife, Richelle Braswell, in 2024, and the two have been partners in ministry ever since.

Mrs. Melissa Price has served as the Parish Administrator of Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church since August of 2024. Born and raised in Syracuse, New York, she has lived in Liberty, Texas since 2003. Melissa and her husband John were married in 2013, and they enjoy exploring national parks together.

The Vestry consists of nine elected members of Saint Stephen’s and serves as the governing board of the church. It meets monthly to oversee the church’s financial health and works alongside the clergy to support spiritual growth and leadership within the parish.
Each year, Vestry members attend a retreat to build relationships and shape a shared vision for the church’s mission in the year ahead.


Altar Guild
Prepares the sacred space of the church before and after each service.
Lay Eucharistic Ministers & Visitors
Assist in worship and bring Communion to the sick and homebound.
Acolytes
Children and youth who assist in ceremonial roles in each service.
Greeters & Ushers
Offer hospitality to visitors and help services run smoothly and safely.
Choir
Lead the congregation in song during worship, enriching each service with music.

Sunday Morning Bible Study
An open, discussion-based class exploring whole books of the Bible.
Tuesday Women’s Bible Study
Short-term teaching series exploring special topics and interests.
Sunday School for Children & Youth
Age-based classes offering Scripture lessons and engaging activities.
Seasonal Classes
Short-term offerings like baptism and confirmation preparation.

Saturday Game Night
Cards, games, and refreshments every third Saturday.
Parish Family Hangouts
Seasonal gatherings with food, fun, and fellowship for the whole church.

In-Reach Committee
Supports parishioners in need with meals, notes, and care.
Episcopal Church Women (ECW)
Hosts receptions and service projects supporting both parish and community.
Daughters of the King
A prayerful order of women committed to intercession and service.
Outreach Committee
Distributes 10% of the church budget to local needs and nonprofits.
Friends In Deed
Provides essentials for students in need within Liberty ISD.
Vestry
The elected leadership team guiding the mission and stewardship of the church.
Stewardship Committee
Nurtures a spirit of gratitude, generosity, and financial stewardship among the parish.
